This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, particularly those living with dementia. As a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities and programs that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement leisure and lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless integration of activities with resident care plans
- Provide support and guidance to residents and their families to enhance their quality of life
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and inclusive community environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in dementia care and leisure services
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or a related field
- Experience working with people with dementia, preferably in a residential aged care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity
