About the Role

Cranbrook Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Bella Vista Gardens, a leading residential aged care facility in the Sydney Hills District.

This is a part-time opportunity available for 3 days a week, Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm. As a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents living with dementia.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing and implementing leisure and lifestyle activities that promote social interaction, engagement, and enjoyment for residents
  • Collaborating with families, carers, and friends to involve them in everyday life for residents
  • Integrating Bella Vista Gardens into the wider local community through various initiatives and activities

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with people who have dementia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and skills in contemporary diversionary therapy services
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle is essential
