About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to work on challenging projects and contribute to the growth of our team in Portland.

This is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level as an engineer, working on electrical engineering services that meet statutory and regulatory specifications.

  1. Deliver high-quality electrical engineering services that meet statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  2. Identify and report changes to project scope.
  3. Assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.
  4. Provide assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  5. Contribute to studies, analyses, and recommending actions.
  6. Prepare detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
  8. Support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
  2. Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to deliver quality work.
  3. A good working knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and other engineering fields.
  4. A good understanding of applicable local and international standards and statutory specifications.
  5. Competent use of electrical engineering specific software and MS Office Suite.
  6. Engineering experience in Mining, Minerals, or Metals.
  7. Some job site or factory experience.
  8. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status / RPEQ Registration / RPEV Registration or eligibility to attain this registration within 6 months.
  9. Valid working rights for Australia.
