Electrical Engineer Position

This role involves delivering electrical engineering services, identifying and reporting changes to project scope, and assisting with proposal preparation and procurement activities.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering electrical engineering services on time and within budget;
  • Identifying and reporting changes to project scope;
  • Assisting with proposal preparation, estimates, budgets and schedules;
  • Providing assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities;
  • Contributing to studies, analyses and recommending actions;
  • Preparing detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports;
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technical innovations in electrical engineering;
  • Supporting junior personnel within the electrical engineering team;
  • Communicating effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognized degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
  • Effective technical and practical engineering skills;
  • A good working knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and applicable standards;
  • Competent use of relevant software; and
  • Engineering experience in mining, minerals or metals.
