Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Role

Join JJ's Waste & Recycling, Australia's largest family-owned and operated waste management company, in our Somerton depot as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication
  • Reporting to the Workshop Manager
  • Working collaboratively with the team to ensure the reliability and safety of our fleet

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
  • Exceptional eye for detail
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Professional and outcome-focused approach
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • HR and forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
