About the Role

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at JJ's Waste & Recycling, you will be an integral part of our workshop team in Somerton.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs of heavy rigid vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and operational
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to achieve high standards of safety compliance and customer service
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance mechanical skills and knowledge
About You
  • Hold trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Have a good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and customers
  • Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
