About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Somerton depot. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy rigid vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.

With a focus on safety and customer satisfaction, you will work closely with our Workshop Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits package, including overtime and bonus opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy rigid vehicles
  • Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve safety and customer satisfaction goals
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
  • Exceptional eye for detail and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Professional and outcome-focused approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
