Job Title: Electoral Governance Expertise

The Electoral Commission of South Australia (ECSA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the role of Deputy Electoral Commissioner. As a key member of the ECSA team, the appointee will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of the organisation and implementing organisational change across various disciplines.

This rare opportunity requires an exceptional leader with strong executive presence and experience leading complex organisations at an executive level. The successful candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification in business, public administration or law and demonstrate a proven ability to operate with the highest levels of ethical behaviour, honesty, integrity and respect.

The Deputy Electoral Commissioner will be responsible for implementing and driving organisational change, providing executive leadership and management in the delivery of complex statewide electoral events, operational activities and technology modernisation. This role also involves building and maintaining strategic relationships, networks and partnerships across government and non-government organisations.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with a strong ability to lead and manage teams effectively. They will have a deep understanding of the electoral system and its complexities, as well as the ability to navigate sensitive political environments.
