Compliance and Risk Management Professional

The Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team.
  • This role can be based anywhere in Australia, with opportunities for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of incident and breach management frameworks, policies, tools, systems, and processes required for effective risk management.
  • Undertake compliance assessments of incidents and breaches to support regulatory breach assessment processes.
  • Present findings to relevant stakeholders and forums as required.
  • Provide advice, insights, themes, and trends to key stakeholders on incidents and breaches.
  • Review and monitor compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Offer practical guidance and support to business leaders on risk and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various teams.

Delivering Results:

  • Prepare professional risk and compliance reports for management and related boards and committees.
  • Work closely with colleagues to drive alignment and consistent implementation of risk and compliance framework accountabilities.

Strategic Growth:

  • Contribute to priorities and work plans for the risk and compliance function.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and consider their impacts on the risk and compliance environment.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications desirable.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role or compliance role in the financial services industry is desirable.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks impacting service offerings and solutions.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Ability to understand business issues and adopt a pragmatic risk-based approach.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage, build rapport, and present to management.
