Technical Author Position

We are seeking a skilled Technical Author to produce high-quality technical publications that meet project requirements and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will work across all aspects of Maritime Technical Publications, driving innovative technical publication authoring and writing solutions. They will lead their technical writing activities in accordance with relevant project procedures and work instructions to achieve project goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing technical publications ensuring all project requirements are met.
  • Defining technical writing and authoring requirements.
  • Developing technical documentation in accordance with appropriate standards.
  • Contributing towards continuous development activities and project engineering policies and strategies.
  • Providing guidance to peers when required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or formal qualification in Technical Writing or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Technical Writing/Authoring.
  • Effective communication skills at various levels of stakeholders to discuss and present business requirements.
  • Proficient with using authoring software tools and MS applications.
  • Understanding of S1000D is highly desirable.
  • Experience in producing Maritime Technical Publications is highly desirable.
