Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to support the development and implementation of health promotion initiatives in New South Wales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of people in the region.

About This Role

The Centre for Population Health aims to promote health and prevent morbidity and mortality caused by modifiable risk factors.

The program coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Child and Family Programs team in providing healthy eating and active living initiatives for children and families.

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and local health districts.
  • Designing and delivering key childhood obesity prevention programs based on best practice evidence.
  • Providing strategic advice to senior decision makers based on analysis of data and stakeholder views.
  • Managing stakeholder risks and communications effectively.
  • Scoping, planning and managing the delivery of agreed program of work within required timeframe and budget.
Requirements
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in managing change and communications with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and translate complex information accurately and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience designing, implementing and managing large-scale health promotion programs using evidence and partnerships.
