About the Communications Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Adelaide and contribute to the delivery of key communications commitments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing communications activities that promote and protect the brand and reputation with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the team through content capture, creation, and delivery for business objectives
  • Proactively developing content for business initiatives including feature articles, social media content, podcasts, presentations, and video
  • Implementing a content distribution strategy for digital channels including social media
  • Delivering and coordinating content across internal employee communications channels
  • Maintaining communications calendar – days of note, upcoming events etc.
  • Supporting social media content development, monitoring, distribution, and responses
  • Tactical employee communication advice and support to functions, as required
  • Media monitoring support
  • Coordination of photography and videography, as required
  • Contributing to weekly/monthly reporting, as required
  • Event coordination and brand support including managing suppliers and procurement, as required
About You:
  • Excellent content development skills, in both written and digital media
  • 2-3 years' experience in a communications discipline
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Experience in managing and engaging with multiple stakeholders
  • Occasional travel to national, regional, and remote sites
  • Be comfortable working autonomously
  • A can-do and collaborative attitude
  • Be resourceful and have curiosity about Defence products
