Senior Laboratory Production Scientist Job Description About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Senior Laboratory Production Scientist to lead our production team and drive innovation in diagnostic production. This key role involves overseeing laboratory production processes, mentoring junior scientists, and driving the development of new quality control materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Leading a team of laboratory scientists, providing training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Research and Development: Driving innovation in the development of novel quality control materials, including planning, pilot work, and transitioning successful prototypes to full production.
  • Advanced Project Coordination: Managing complex contract-production projects, maintaining clear communication with clients, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing the entire production process from start to finish.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Serving as the primary technical support for both production and post-production testing, providing hands-on guidance and troubleshooting complex issues as they arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Biomedical Science or a related field, paired with several years of experience in pathology (biochemistry, endocrinology) or the IVD industry.
  • Proven expertise in laboratory production techniques and extensive experience in post-production testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, and supporting a team.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
