Justice Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grounds and Services Officer to join our team at HM Prison Barwon. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and conducting general routine and scheduled grounds maintenance and services within the prison.
This role will involve delivering meals, laundry, stores, property, and minor maintenance activities. You will also be responsible for mowing, landscaping, power washing, trimming shrubs, and other grounds maintenance tasks as required. Weekend and/or public holiday work may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Picking up and delivering items within the prison, ensuring schedules are adhered to.
- Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating a light delivery vehicle.
- Operating light machinery and vehicles.
- Experience in delivery of services and logistics.
- Experience in maintenance.
- Driver's license for light vehicle with competent driving skills.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in maintenance and logistics. You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
As a successful candidate, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including national police checks and misconduct screening.
