Job Title: Community Health Transport Coordinator

About the Role:

The Community Health Transport Coordinator will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation to medical appointments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to medical appointments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community organisations, hospitals, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to continual improvement projects and implement new processes and procedures as needed
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic first aid training and certification
