Job Title: Sustainability Specialist

About the Role

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires an individual who can provide expert advice on environmental health matters.

The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Public or Environmental Health, Applied Science, or a relevant discipline, and hold a Class C (standard) Driver's Licence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulate, inspect, and monitor food and other premises for public health purposes.
  • Provide advisory services to the community and organisation on public health and environmental legislation, standards, and codes.
  • Investigate complaints about food, health, beauty, public swimming pools, cooling towers, skin penetration premises, and general environmental complaints.
  • Interpret legislation, develop policies, and implement procedures that support flexibility, efficiency, and environmental management across the organisation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Public or Environmental Health, Applied Science, or a relevant discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating regulatory environmental health programs is desirable.
