\Sustainability and Impact Specialist

Job Description:

At New Forests, we seek a highly skilled professional to lead our sustainability and impact efforts across the Australian, New Zealand, and North American (ANZ & NA) portfolio.

\

This position will play a vital role in driving comprehensive sustainability and impact outcomes throughout the region while supporting our global initiatives.

\

The Sustainability and Impact Lead for ANZ & NA will be part of the Asset Management team, responsible for overseeing asset management activities. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that result in real-world positive outcomes.

\

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of our Sustainability & Impact Policy (S&I Policy) and Sustainability and Impact Management System (SIMS).\
  • Assist in developing new products and strategies that integrate sustainability and impact requirements into associated documentation.\
  • Support the updating of existing investment vehicle sustainability and impact documentation with new requirements.\
  • Contribute to our Sustainability & Impact Network.\
  • Oversee Sustainability and Impact Due Diligence.\
  • Deliver Sustainability and Impact Outcomes During Asset Management.\
  • Sustainability and Impact Advocacy and Thought Leadership.\

Qualifications, Experience, and Strengths:

Required skills and qualifications include:

\
  • \
  • A strong background in sustainability and impact, including responsible investment, corporate sustainability, or project management.\
  • Experience developing and implementing environmental management systems.\
  • Knowledge of climate change and nature-related risks and opportunities assessments, strategies, and management practices.\
  • Excellent project management, research, and analytical skills.\
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.\
  • Collaborative attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset.\
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.\
