About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN1) Grade 2 to join our team at Wintringham's Eunice Seddon Home on a Casual basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and behavioral support to residents, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Assist in the implementation of health programs, including cigarette and alcohol programs, to promote resident well-being.
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments of residents, including medication management, and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications as required, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of residents' health, conducting regular reviews and updates to care plans.
- Assist residents with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Observe and report changes in resident behavior or physical condition, ensuring prompt intervention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills, staying current with best practices in gerontology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor/Team Leader is highly advantageous.
- Experience in aged care and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team of multi-disciplinary staff.
- The ability to enhance or maintain residents' independence and lifestyle is crucial.
- A friendly, approachable, and non-judgmental attitude is required.
