The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mental Health Program as a Clinical Nurse Consultant. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our Nurse Managers and Educator to implement the Mental Health Intensive Care Framework and drive the sustainability of Safewards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Mental Health Intensive Care Framework and drive the sustainability of Safewards
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our specialist nursing workforce by providing clinical support, mentoring, and coaching
- Identify and address priority issues to advance contemporary mental health nursing practice on inpatient units
About You:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in acute adult psychiatric settings
- Clinical leadership expertise in acute mental health nursing
- Ability to lead quality initiatives, work independently, and have digital capabilities
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, with capability to negotiate, consult, and liaise effectively with key stakeholders
