Opportunity Overview
RPS Group is seeking a skilled Senior Planner to become a vital part of our Planning division on a permanent full-time basis. This role is designed for a professional looking to advance their career in a supportive environment that fosters mentorship and professional growth.
You will engage with a diverse clientele across various sectors, ensuring that each day presents unique challenges and opportunities. This position involves direct client interaction, allowing you to serve as a liaison while collaborating with project teams, governmental bodies, and other key stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the chance to mentor junior colleagues.
As a member of our national Place and Environment Team, which encompasses a range of disciplines including town planning, landscape architecture, surveying, and urban design, you will also collaborate with our advisory and project management teams. We prioritize flexible working arrangements for all staff.
Key Responsibilities
Assessing the development potential of various sites and offering due diligence insights; Crafting development applications for a wide array of project types and locations; Communicating with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies regarding planning and development matters; Supporting additional planning services such as strategic advice, policy evaluations, and related approvals; Aiding clients in executing approved outcomes.Qualifications for Success
Bachelor’s degree in Planning or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA). A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the private sector. A solid understanding of the Queensland planning framework. Exceptional writing skills. Proven ability to deliver projects punctually and to a high standard. A strong commitment to client service, teamwork, and a passion for influencing planning results.Benefits Offered
