About this Role

Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Child Safeguarding Expert. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people through the implementation and embedding of best practice in child safeguarding.

This position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders, including Jurisdictional Leads and Quality Leads, to contribute to building a culture of safeguarding excellence across our programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work or related discipline, prior experience working directly with children, young people, their families, and providing care that safeguards and promotes their wellbeing.

  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practice guidelines related to child safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accountability to voice and participation of children, families, and carers in policies, procedures, and practice guidance.
  • Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for staff and partners on child safeguarding practices.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.

  • A bachelor's degree in social work or related discipline.
  • Prior experience working directly with children, young people, their families, and providing care that safeguards and promotes their wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated experience in safeguarding leadership in the children and families or community services sector.
