Storage and Backup Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
">Ensure the smooth operation of Storage & Data Protection environments.
Monitor incidents assigned to Storage & Backup queues, review monitoring and reports, and take corrective actions to ensure incident resolution.
Execute Service orders related to new server backup commissioning, maintain NFS, CIFS shares and permissions, manage deduplication, replication and snapshots, and perform decommissioning with 4-eye process.
Deliverables:
">- Resolve all Storage & Backup queue incidents within SLA.
- Implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Maintain accurate records and metrics for storage and backup services.
Requirements:
">Knowledge and Skills:
">- Extensive knowledge of Storage & SAN or Backup technologies.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective leadership and people management skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Education and Qualifications:
">Candidates should hold a degree in Computer Science or related field and have relevant certifications.
Work Experience:
">A minimum of 3 years of experience in Storage & Backup environment with proven track record of success.
