**Job Overview:**

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is a leading provider of Mainframe Storage solutions seeking an experienced professional to support clients across various domains in Australia.

**Responsibilities:

  • Regularly monitor and maintain storage health, generating reports for documentation purposes.
  • Manage storage and backup jobs, control data sets, SMS, non-SMS pools, and DASD management using DFSMShsm, CA-allocate, and other tools.
  • Administer DASD, including data backup, restore/recovery, archive/recall, and reclaim from unused datasets.
  • Develop strategies for DASD initialization, reclaim, and capacity planning.
  • Manage catalog and ACS routines, as well as perform storage migrations, upgrades, and connectivity between enterprise storage stacks.
  • Establish and monitor storage replication setups, reorganization, device connections, and decommissioning.
  • Research and recommend solutions to improve business performance and reduce costs.
  • Configure, test, debug, and document device and software configurations, maintaining compliance with IT policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

  • 5+ years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe Storage (DASD & Tape).
  • Good knowledge of IBM z/OS operating systems and systems administration concepts.
  • Experience with IBM z/OS, DFSMS, IBM DS8000 DASD, IBM TS77xx, and VTS is required.
