You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to deliver person-centred care that fosters resilience and empowerment.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate education and wellbeing programs within Adult Mental Health Services, ensuring they are tailored to meet the diverse needs of consumers.
  • Provide formal peer support, practical assistance, and individualised education to empower consumers to build skills for mental and physical health recovery.
  • Mentor and guide peer workers, promoting the values and principles of peer support within the team, and contributing to a culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with NGOs, government agencies, and internal teams to enhance consumer engagement and recovery-oriented practice, driving positive outcomes and continuous improvement.

About You

  • You possess a strong passion for using your lived experience to inspire hope and self-advocacy in others, and a deep understanding of recovery frameworks and person-centred care.
  • Skilled in communication, mentoring, and collaborative working, with the ability to share your recovery story authentically and inspire others.
  • Demonstrated experience in peer support, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality support services that meet the diverse needs of consumers.
  • Able to work effectively across multiple stakeholders, including multidisciplinary teams, community organisations, and government agencies.
