Job Opportunity: Peer Support Specialist

About You:
  • You are a passionate individual with lived or living experience as a mental health carer, willing to use your experience to empower others.
  • You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trusting relationships, an understanding of recovery principles, peer work values, and carer-inclusive frameworks.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate willingness and confidence to share their own lived or living experience to support others and have a strong ability to understand and implement carer-inclusive practices.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team to provide emotional support, information, and education to carers and families, promoting recovery-focused care and influencing inclusive mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide emotional support, information, and education to carers and families.
