Job Title

Senior Data Analyst - Quantitative Modelling

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Quantitative Modelling. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing credit risk models that support strategic decision-making across the bank.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of credit risk modelling techniques and regulatory frameworks (IFRS9, Basel, APRA). They will also possess proficiency in R, SAS, Python, SQL, and Excel, as well as strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about mentoring others and driving innovation in risk analytics. You will work closely with business units, regulators, and industry bodies to contribute to model governance, regulatory submissions, and audit readiness.

About the Role
  • Lead the development, validation, and monitoring of credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD, scorecards, and rating models)
  • Ensure models meet regulatory and internal governance standards (e.g. IFRS9, Basel, APRA)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across risk, finance, and business units to embed models into decision-making processes
  • Build and maintain automated tools and dashboards for model performance tracking and reporting
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions and respond to audit and assurance reviews
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the team
