Intensive Foster and Kinship Care Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Intensive Foster and Kinship Care Practitioner to join our Foster and Kinship Care Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting children's care experience and assisting foster and kinship carers to achieve positive outcomes.
About the Role:
- Assess carers' needs and develop tailored support plans to enhance their skills and knowledge in caring for children living in out-of-home care.
- Provide guidance and education to foster and kinship carers on child protection systems, legislation, and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with young people in foster care and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to deliver therapeutic support.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field.
- Knowledge of child protection systems and experience working with children and families in out-of-home care.
- Ability to provide evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Valid Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver's License.
- Positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Police Check.
