Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kinship Care Specialist to join our team. As a Kinship Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people in kinship care arrangements.

You will work closely with kinship carers, birth parents, extended family members, and professionals to provide a secure and nurturing environment for the child's development. Your primary responsibility will be to manage cases effectively for children and young people aged 0-18 in Kinship placements.

Your key duties will include:

  • Supporting kinship carers in their roles and helping them access resources and support services as needed.
  • Developing and implementing case plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
  • Maintaining regular communication with kinship carers, birth parents, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma of Community Welfare Work or related discipline (desirable but not essential).
  • A current driver's license.
  • Experience in the community services sector in a case management role (desirable).
