Nursing Educator Opportunity

The role of a sessional teacher in a TAFE institution involves delivering high-quality education to nursing students by imparting current industry knowledge and skills. The Diploma of Nursing (EN program) is currently seeking experienced teachers who can provide students with the latest standard industry practices.
Key Responsibilities">
- ">
- Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, undertaking assessment of student performance in accordance with the requirements of the relevant curriculum/training package.">
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment in accordance with the National VET Regulator including the requirements of moderation and validation of assessment.">
- Ensure industry currency to equip our students with necessary skills and knowledge.">
- Provide regular feedback to students.">
- Facilitate practical and simulation labs.">
Required Qualifications and Skills">
- ">
- Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA registration.">
- Bachelor of Nursing degree or higher qualification.">
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) or equivalent.">
- Current Working with Children Check.">
- Understanding of ASQA/ANMAC regulatory guidelines and standards.">
- Desirable: 2-3 years VET teaching experience and 3 years nursing experience (medical & surgical nursing).">
Working Conditions">
- ">
- Part-time employment.">
- Hourly rate payable: $95.01 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation.">
- Conditions of employment will be covered by the vocational teacher enterprise agreement.">
