About the Project Coordination Role

The Project Coordinator will support the project execution for the NBN Network, including reviewing design, managing build end to end, material management, scheduling, procurement, resourcing, reporting and services, as well as supervising a team of Field Engineers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring key construction milestones to identify and mitigate program risk
  • Analysing subcontractor resourcing to ensure balancing and continuity of work
  • Critical analysis and rectification of complex issues pertaining to design, construction, programme, completions, materials, and low-level commercial items
  • Liaising with internal and subcontractor resources to extract key data
  • Working with logistics specialists to forecast material requirements and ensure risks associated with material availability are identified and mitigated
  • Presenting the project schedule at regular client meetings and discussing issues around project delivery

About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an individual with at least 2 years' experience in a similar position, preferably within the Telecommunications / Construction industry.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to comfortably operate in a time-critical project environment
  • Capacity to interpret engineering drawings (advantageous)
  • Ability to interface with subcontractors and clients to ensure delivery compliance
  • Good understanding of telecommunications pit and pipe and aerial optic fibre network infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of project financial management
