Job Description: Fund Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of funds' financial accounts and activities, ensuring compliance with legal, professional, and ethical standards.

Your primary duties will include maintaining accurate and timely financial records, reconciling bank accounts, reviewing and paying fees and premiums, and preparing statutory financial reports. You will also be responsible for managing daily unit prices, reconciling unit holdings with custodians, and preparing Business Activity Statements and APRA reporting.

To succeed in this role, you will require relevant tertiary qualifications, such as CA/CPA certification, and practical experience with superannuation technology systems. A strong understanding of fund accounting, legislative, and taxation issues is essential. Additionally, you will need excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with external clients and stakeholders.
