Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accountant to join our dynamic Finance division in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in the monthly financial accounting and consolidation process, including posting journals, performing reconciliations, and preparing various financial calculations.
  • Coding of invoices and preparing prepayment schedules.
  • Preparing calculations to invoice clients and following up payments.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly performance results and CFO reports, as well as quarterly, interim and annual financial reports and disclosures for release to the ASX.
  • Assisting in tax compliance activities, including monthly/quarterly BAS returns, annual income tax returns and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist seniors to prepare board papers covering technical accounting aspects for presentation to the Group Audit Committee and other senior leadership members.
  • Assist seniors to prepare board papers for compliance purposes.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by the business.
  • Be encouraged to use your knowledge to proactively identify process improvement opportunities and drive simplification across finance activities.

Requirements:

  • A recent accounting undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a reputable institution.
  • A genuine desire for a career in accounting within the financial services industry.
  • Motivation to work towards a CA/CPA qualification.
  • Good attention to detail and passion to deliver high-quality deliverables.
  • A curious mindset and ability to embrace challenges.
  • Proactive in nature and eager to learn from others.
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent self-organisation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
