About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Plant Administrator to join our team on this iconic project. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the plant team, including managing day-to-day activities, scheduling, communications, reporting, records management, procurement, accounts, and purchasing.
Key Responsibilities- Register and oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation
- Prepare relevant documentation, including formatting, typing, and record keeping
- Maintain an effective filing and archiving system to ensure records and documents are protected and readily available
- Continuously seek ways to improve services and processes
- Implement and support change strategies
- Provide support to ensure all owned plant and equipment is maintained to comply with project and Australian Safety Standards
- Plan and coordinate a Plant Maintenance planning system to improve plant reliability
- Maintain the maintenance program using a database, generating and issuing work orders to Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors for action
- Order and maintain onsite stock of various stationery and parts required
- Price checking, purchase order creation, delivery confirmation, and invoice approval
- Assist Plant Engineers and Foremen in day-to-day running activities
- Insurance and warranty claims
- Hire plant organization
- Transport organization
- Relevant word processing and secretarial qualifications and/or training
- Ideal but not compulsory minimum 5 years experience in Administration
- Construction work environment desirable
- Advanced Microsoft Skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with confidence, but tactful
