The North East Link project is a significant infrastructure development in Melbourne, Victoria, aiming to improve the city's freeway network. As a key partner, CPB Contractors Pty Limited is delivering the Central Package of this project, which includes twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Plant Administrator to join our team on this iconic project. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the plant team, managing day-to-day activities, including diary management, communications, reporting, records management, procurement, accounts, and file management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation
  • Prepare relevant documentation, including formatting, typing, and record keeping
  • Maintain an effective filing and archiving system to ensure records and documents are protected and readily available
  • Continuously seek ways to improve services and processes
  • Implement and support change strategies
  • Provide support to ensure all owned plant and equipment is maintained to comply with project and Australian Safety Standards
  • Plan and coordinate a Plant Maintenance planning system to improve plant reliability
  • Maintain the maintenance program using a database, generating and issuing work orders to Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors
  • Order and maintain onsite stock of various stationery and parts required
  • Price checking, purchase order creation, delivery confirmation, and invoice approval
  • Assist Plant Engineers and Foremen in day-to-day running activities
  • Insurance and warranty claims
  • Hire plant organization
  • Transport organization

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant word processing and secretarial qualifications and/or training
  • Ideal but not compulsory minimum 5 years experience in Administration
  • Construction work environment desirable
  • Advanced Microsoft Skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with confidence, but tactful
  • Strong level written and verbal communication
  • Client focus
  • Attention to detail
