The North East Link Project is a significant infrastructure project in Melbourne, Victoria, aiming to improve the city's freeway network. The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of this project, which includes twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges.
About the Opportunity
CPB Contractors Pty Limited seeks an experienced Plant Administrator to join the team on this iconic project. The role will provide administrative support to the plant team, including managing the day-to-day activities, diary management, communications, reporting, records management, procurement, accounts, invoicing, travel, logistics, and purchasing. File management and document control are also essential responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Register and oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation.
- Prepare relevant documentation, including formatting, typing, and record keeping.
- Maintain an effective filing and archiving system to ensure records and documents are protected and readily available.
- Continuously seek ways to improve services and processes.
- Implement and support change strategies.
- Provide support to ensure all owned plant and equipment is maintained to comply with project and Australian Safety Standards.
- Plan and coordinate a Plant Maintenance planning system to improve plant reliability.
- Maintain the maintenance program using a database by generating and issuing work orders to Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors.
- Order and maintain onsite stock of various stationery and parts required.
- Price checking, purchase order creation, delivery confirmation, and invoice approval.
- Assist Plant Engineers and Foreman in day-to-day running activities.
- Insurance and warranty claims.
- Hire plant organization.
- Transport organization.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant word processing and secretarial qualifications and/or training.
- Ideal but not compulsory minimum 5 years experience in Administration. Can be less for the right candidate.
- Construction work environment desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with confidence, but tactful.
- Strong level written and verbal communication.
