About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team based at Amberley. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for Defence assets.

You will work closely with our Senior Regional Planner and collaborate with Defence teams to ensure work is planned, resourced, and delivered smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tradesperson looking to transition into a planning role or for those with experience in maintenance environments seeking to take their career to the next level.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Use the Commonwealth SAP S4/HANA System to plan and manage approved maintenance programs and Work Orders within work groups.
  • Conduct maintenance work planning in line with fleet maintenance planning directions issued by the Senior Regional Planner.
  • Identify maintenance tasks, parts, and resources required.
  • Source parts via internal and external means.
  • Provide feedback to Defence Personnel on the progress of scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Liaise with the Scheduling team to effectively plan maintenance around Defence priorities and planned completion dates.
  • Liaise with the Scheduling team to effect changes in scheduling to meet customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • You must be an Australian citizen and eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
  • A trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, or similar) would be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems – or a willingness to learn – is essential.
