Senior Plant Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our National Plant Engineering team at John Holland Rail & Transport. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and expertise to support the smooth operation of our rail plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the Plant Operations team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure that all rail plant and equipment comply with technical specifications, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead technical investigations and defect analysis to identify and resolve complex plant faults.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to improve plant performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Assess and ensure compliance of rolling stock with technical specifications, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role, with a strong understanding of rail plant and equipment systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of rail safety and technical requirements, governance, and risks impacting the performance of rolling stock.
