Medical Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Medical Services Unit at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction to key areas, including Medical Officers recruitment, Credentialing and Scope of Practice, and Rostering and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to key areas, including Medical Officers recruitment, Credentialing and Scope of Practice, and Rostering and Compliance.
- Manage the human and financial resources of the Medical Services Unit at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals.
- Accountable for the recruitment, deployment and retention of Medical Practitioners within Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals and across the Top End Regional Health Service.
- Provide consultancy support, with provision of expert advice relating to workforce policies, initiatives and reform.
- Identify and analyze workforce flows, and develop proposals to improve productivity and efficiency of the Medical Workforce in the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals and Top End.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare leadership and management, with experience in leading teams and managing resources. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to provide strategic direction and guidance to key stakeholders.
