We are seeking a highly skilled General Physician to join our team at Royal Darwin Hospital. As a General Physician, you will be responsible for providing consultant-level management for inpatients admitted under the General Medical Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage acute general medical inpatients, conducting appropriate investigations and formulating comprehensive management plans.
  • Lead a large team of junior staff in a busy unit, utilizing strong leadership skills to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Develop and implement complex discharge plans, working closely with ambulatory care services to ensure timely discharges in our challenging environment.
Requirements
  • AHPRA Specialist registration with Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and Acute Care Medicine.
  • Proven equivalent skills and experience in General Medicine, with consideration given to applicants with fellowship in another specialty.
