Support Roles in Learning and Life

We are passionate about supporting adults with intellectual disability to achieve their goals.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Will deliver high-quality programs and support in response to the needs and interests of participants.
  • Will contribute to the development and delivery of outcome-focused programs that meet participant goals and aspirations.
  • Will support participants to engage in recreational and learning programs.
  • Will ensure the well-being and safety of participants, exercising duty of care to participants, other staff, and members of the community.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and delivering programs that are tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of participants.
  • Monitoring and supporting the safe involvement of participants in community-based activities.
  • Working cooperatively with colleagues to maintain effective communication in a manner appropriate to participant needs.
  • Providing personal care in a responsible and safe manner.
Requirements
  • A commitment to putting people at the centre of everything you do.
  • Experience and/or special interest in working with people with an intellectual disability, including those with additional complex needs.
  • A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to learn and try new things.
  • A natural communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Friendly disposition and ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A current Driver's License.
  • Working with Children Check and an NDIS Workers' Screening Check.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Cert 3 in Disability or another relevant field.
