Mental Health Consultant Position in Western Australia

About the Role: Workskil Australia Ltd is seeking an experienced Mental Health Consultant to join our team in Western Australia.
We are looking for a professional with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, who can demonstrate competence in the application of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions. The successful candidate will have experience in providing individual therapy, group therapy and case management, as well as sound knowledge of the local labour market and mental health services.
The role involves working with customers across Armadale and Cannington, providing evidence-based best-practice assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment and prevention of mental health disorders and other systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.
You will be supporting our customers to address their non-vocational barriers and develop their skills and job readiness, as well as delivering training relevant to the field and consultancy with site staff and other service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based best-practice assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment and prevention of mental health disorders and other systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study
- Support customers to address their non-vocational barriers and develop their skills and job readiness
- Demonstrate competence in the application of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Deliver training relevant to the field and consultancy with site staff and other service providers
- Work effectively with a culturally diverse range of people
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated competence in the application of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Experience in providing individual therapy, group therapy and case management
- Sound knowledge of the local labour market and mental health services
- A current driver's licence
- A Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counselling
