Mental Health Specialist Consultant

This challenging position will provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of mental health disorders and systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study.
You will be supporting customers to address their non-vocational barriers and develop skills and job readiness. The role may involve delivering training relevant to the field and consultancy with site staff and other service providers.
This fixed-term position is based in Armadale and Cannington and offers a 9-day fortnight work arrangement, providing an excellent work-life balance. You will still receive remuneration comparable to a full-time employee and have the option to salary package.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Apply a wide range of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions to consumers with complex needs;
- Employ strategies to effectively resolve conflict;
- Show understanding of available mental health and support services;
- Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and case management;
- Analyse or evaluate issues related to psychological care for quality activities, service evaluation, or research;
- Understand the local labour market;
- Work effectively with diverse people;
- Recognise barriers to employment for disadvantaged individuals and communities;
- Understand case management frameworks;
- Adhere to WHS responsibilities.
- Hold a current driver's licence;
- Hold a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counselling;
- Social Workers must be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for SA staff only.
