We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team at Nasdaq. As a key member of our Customer Success division, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement database systems that meet customer requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for critical production issues and drive customer concern/resolution of problems into Support and Engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts to build, configure, deploy, and test applications databases in different environments.
- Work closely with clients to ensure availability of the Database infrastructure and troubleshoot production environments.
- Collaborate with the team to create and document processes and standards.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery tests to ensure business continuity.
- BS and/or MS in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 10+ years of experience in a SaaS environment for a managed infrastructure or cloud-based solution.
- Good knowledge of public cloud architecture (OCI, AWS).
- Experience with Oracle RAC 19c and Multitenant database environments.
- Strong analytical skills and a familiarity with problem-solving, attention to detail, and quality.
- Handling large database estates (100+ databases).
- Knowledge of DBA tasks (schema management, tablespace management, jobs management, pdbs management).
- Experience with scripting languages (Unix Shell).
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Red Hat Linux, Windows server.
- Basic understanding of Exadata Management and support.
- Basic understanding of OCI/AWS migration skills.
- A passion for providing excellent service to all internal and external customers.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment.
