Teacher Librarian Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring teacher librarian to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching 8 periods per week on Thursdays and Fridays, with the role of guiding students in literacy development and research skills.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents. Strong organizational and time management skills are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with the Year 6 Library Program, guiding students in literacy development and research skills.
  2. Curate and maintain an engaging library collection supporting the curriculum and student interests.
  3. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom learning.
  4. Organize events and activities promoting reading and encouraging a lifelong love of books.
  5. Provide support and guidance to students in their independent learning and information-seeking skills.

To be successful in this role, you will require strong literacy and numeracy skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
