Position Overview

In this role, you will be tasked with managing the logistics environment, ensuring our operations are well-prepared to meet future demands. You will collaborate closely with supply chain managers to synchronize our internal logistics processes with product delivery, overseeing national inbound supply (Air/Ocean) and inventory management across multiple warehouses.

Your ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, including Marketing, Sales, and Warehouse teams, will be essential in meeting business objectives and satisfying customer needs. Your primary goal will be to guarantee that inventory is positioned correctly and available when required.

To thrive in this position, a robust background in inbound Air & Ocean freight and inventory management is essential. Familiarity with compliance standards for warehouse stock management and transportation is crucial. We seek individuals who are adaptable, innovative, and possess a strong problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight:

Address inventory discrepancies and perform monthly national cycle counts along with bi-annual stock audits. Rectify interface transaction issues and manage stock transfers between state warehouses. Supervise quality control for new models and assess and report damages. Manage local and international insurance matters and process claims. Maintain a cost matrix for accruals and monitor the Export House Cargo System (EHCS). Coordinate rework initiatives and predict carton requirements.

Inbound Logistics Management:

Oversee inbound inventory and assist the 3PL/Sales team to ensure timely receipt of goods. Track performance metrics and conduct evaluations for team members. Cultivate relationships with freight-forwarders and promote process enhancements. Collaborate with 3PL partners to ensure stock receipt aligns with sales forecasts. Analyze product launch strategies and develop ongoing inbound volume forecasts.

Compliance and Risk Oversight:

Ensure adherence to warehousing and transportation regulations while managing 3PL partnerships. Conduct site audits to uphold compliance standards and report any breaches or risks to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Requirements:

Over 5 years of experience in Inbound Freight Management or warehouse and transport management, with a focus on inventory management. Previous experience in team leadership and a tertiary qualification in Logistics is preferred. Proficiency in SAP (IM Module) and advanced skills in MS Excel. Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
