Maintenance Supervisor Role Overview

Bengalla Mining is seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor to lead its field maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality maintenance services and promoting safety within the workplace.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of planned and routine maintenance tasks. They will collaborate with stakeholders across mining, engineering, and planning teams to deliver safe and efficient maintenance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the field maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of planned and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver safe and efficient maintenance outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, set clear expectations, review performance, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mechanical or electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open-cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance experience: 9020 Dragline, Liebherr, and Hitachi Excavators and Drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining-related legislation.
  • Ability to make data-driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (preferably Pulse).
  • Completed or willingness to complete Effective Supervisor training.
