Facilitate Heavy Plant Equipment Maintenance Operations

The ideal candidate will lead a multi-discipline team in the execution of planned and routine maintenance for heavy plant equipment, including P&H Dragline, Hitachi, and Liebherr Excavators, as well as CAT drill fleet.
- Drive site safety standards by maintaining high expectations and fostering a culture of accountability within the team.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across mining, engineering, and planning teams to ensure efficient and safe maintenance outcomes.
- Set clear expectations, uphold accountabilities, review performance, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Coordinate external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
- Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate records of maintenance activities are maintained for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Participate in incident investigations and report incidents, hazards, near-misses, and non-conformances.
Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate will possess:
- A mechanical or electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
- Previous experience in HME maintenance supervisory roles within an open cut mining environment.
- Heavy plant maintenance experience: 9020 Dragline, Liebherr, and Hitachi Excavators, and Drills.
- Knowledge of relevant mining legislation.
- Ability to make data-driven risk-based decisions.
- Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
- Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (preferably Pulse).
- Completed or willingness to complete Effective Supervisor Training.
