The OpportunityDue to recent internal movement, we are seeking a talented and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Management team.
Reporting to the Reliability Specialist, you will be a key driver in enhancing the performance of our mobile equipment fleet.
Leveraging data insights and sound engineering principles, you will lead efforts to improve equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and embed a proactive approach to asset reliability across the operation.This is a Monday–Friday, residential-based position, offering a lifestyle-friendly work arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to a stable and respected mining operation.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse equipment performance and data to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesLead root cause analysis (RCA) and defect elimination (DE) investigationsDevelop and optimise asset strategies, including condition monitoring and life cycle plansSupport the planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns and component replacementsProvide engineering support to the Off-Site Repairs (OSR) team, including repair scope development and reviewCollaborate with Maintenance, Operations, OEMs and specialist contractors to implement sustainable solutionsChampion reliability best practice and build capability across the businessQualifications and experienceTo be successful in this role you will have:A mechanical or electrical trade qualificationA tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (highly regarded)Proven experience with heavy mobile equipment (HME) maintenance in an open cut mining environmentExposure to maintenance management systems (experience with Pulse is advantageous, but not essential)Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the businessWhat we offer Bengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
