About the Role
The Department of Education's Infrastructure Division is seeking an expert to develop and implement strategic initiatives for capital investment budget and business case programs.

Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will utilize their analytical and communication skills to gather data and conduct research on school enrolment trends and infrastructure requirements to create comprehensive submissions and business cases. They will be required to apply their project management, organisational, and communication skills effectively to consult with a range of stakeholders within the Department of Education and external agencies to coordinate budget submissions that align with the Department of Treasury Strategic Asset Management Framework.

Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
1. Strong knowledge in business case development to secure Government funding
2. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, including liaison and negotiation skills and contributing to team processes
3. Well-developed project management skills, including the capacity to apply financial planning concepts and budgeting principles
4. Excellent research, conceptual, and analytical skills with a proven ability to provide innovative thinking in developing and implementing key projects, within an infrastructure planning context
5. Excellent initiative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing timelines
