Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychology Registrar to join our team at Grand Pacific Health, leading the headspace Edmondson Park centre. As a full-time opportunity, you will have the option to enjoy a rostered day off each month.
This position is currently fixed term until June 2025, with the possibility of extension based on funding. You will have the chance to work in a supportive environment and contribute to delivering high-quality mental health services to young people.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with young people and their support systems to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
- Develop effective working relationships with other members of the multidisciplinary team and external service providers to maximize care outcomes for young people.
- Receive board-approved supervision and secondary supervision to support your clinical endorsement as a psychologist.
- A current AHPRA registration as a registered psychologist, working towards clinical endorsement as a registrar.
- Eligibility for a registered psychologist Medicare rebate.
- Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of focused psychological strategies.
- An understanding of key issues related to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people and their family, friends or carers.
- A competitive salary package of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
